PAYMENT POLICY
Through PayPal, we accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and eChecks. You must have a current PayPal account. If you wish to pay by check or money order, e-mail us first. PRIVACY We keep all correspondence confidential and we will not share your e-mail address or other contact information with any person or organization. Periodically we send e-mail notices of sales or specials. If you do not wish to receive such notices, you may opt out of the system. SHIPPING AND INSURANCE We ship within the continental United States via the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) or United Parcel Service (UPS). A flat $5 shipping and handling fee plus $1 per item will be added to each order at checkout. Generally, you will receive your order within three days of the date it was shipped. For faster shipping options, e-mail us first for quotes. For items that are particularly heavy or bulky, a surcharge has been added to the price and noted in its description. Orders totaling more than $50 include insurance. For shipping outside the continental United States or international orders, e-mail us first for a quote. RETURN POLICY E-mail sales@retrowardrobe.com within 24 hours of your order’s arrival to tell us why you need to return any item. (We extend no credit if an item doesn’t fit, because in our descriptions we include all garments’ measurements.) We will reply within 24 hours. Generally, any item should be on its way back to us within 24 hours of our response. You pay return shipping and insurance costs. The item has to be in the same condition in which we sent it or no credit can be processed. When we receive a return according to these conditions, we will credit you for the item minus original shipping costs and a 10% surcharge. Through PayPal we can issue a direct credit within 7 days. QUALITY SCALE We do our best to clean garments. However, vintage clothing by definition is old and sometimes worn. We describe significant flaws, tears, missing buttons, wear, and stains that could not be removed or repaired. Please note these descriptions carefully. We do not issue refunds for conditions that were disclosed. We attempt to describe colors in words because monitor representations vary considerably. E-mail RetroWardrobe first if you have questions about color or condition, or require more details of any kind. Ratings are as follows: Mint: No flaws, no apparent wear, in close to original condition. Excellent: Very good condition with some wear. Good: Wearable condition with minor flaws listed. Fair: Potentially wearable with drawbacks listed. SIZES Sizes of vintage clothing rarely relate to today's sizes, which is why we include extensive measurements. Any unusual sizes will be noted. We urge you to pay close attention to all the information we present. You are responsible for determining whether a garment will fit. E-mail us first if you need even more measurements. We will not accept the return of an item that simply doesn't fit. Vintage fashion in some cases is art, not attire. We measure garments using this method: B = Bust size: Tape measures around garment at widest bust area on bodice. W = Waist size: Smallest area where natural waist would be, or waist seam on garment. H = Hip size: Usually measured around body at widest hip area about 6" below waist. "Free" indicates a wide or gathered skirt that gives generous room at hips. Bodice length: From shoulder seam to natural waist unless otherwise noted. Skirt or pant length: From waist seam or bottom of waistband to hem. Sleeve length: From highest point of sleeve to sleeve hem, including cuff if applicable. Across back: Approximately 4" - 5" below back neck. Around neck: Usually only on men's garments, measures total size around inside collar. Around crown: Total around crown measurement inside hat.
